Kellen Smith, a senior student athlete at South Johnston High School, was presented the 2025-2026 Sam Narron Award recently.

Smith is a standout baseball player who has made an impact on the baseball diamond over the years, and recently signed with East Carolina University to continue his educational and baseball career.

The Sam Narron Award is presented annually to a Johnston County high school senior baseball player who has demonstrated a love for the game through determination, dedication, and sacrifice.
