The South Johnston softball team completed a 56-0 four-year run through the Quad County 3A with a walkoff, 13th-inning win over West Johnston Thursday night.

About the same time over on the baseball field, the Trojans edged West, 4-3, to claim a share of the league crown with the Wildcats and Hunt.

Stacking up Neuse 6 crowns

According to its X page, Princeton claimed conference titles in soccer, golf and baseball on Thursday.

A 3-2 loss to North Johnston resulted in a share of the Neuse 6 baseball title with the Panthers, while a 5-1 win for Princeton over North produced the same split championship for the two schools in soccer.
