George Coltharp is the new head coach at Smithfield-Selma High School, as first reported by High School OT.

He replaces Hancel Phipps, who was 0-10 in his lone season in charge of the Spartans.

Coltharp has coached at Westover, Red Springs, Fairmont, Lane College (Tenn.) and, most recently, was the defensive coordinator at Hobbton.
