North Johnston’s Mia Davis signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for Lenoir Community College recently.

“I chose Lenoir Community College to further my education and volleyball career because of the welcoming and supporting environment,” she said in a press release from the school. “I’m so excited to go into LCC’s nursing program and be a part of such an amazing team they have there.”

Mia, the daughter of Tracy and Robert Davis, played volleyball and soccer at North Johnston and plans to study nursing at LCC.

“I would like to thank my mom and dad for always believing in me and always pushing me to be a better volleyball player,” she said. “I would also like to thank my brother, Chase, and his wife, Autumn, for being such an amazing support system to me — not only on the court, but off (of it) as well. I would also like to thank my coaches from travel and from school for always coaching me to become a better volleyball player and getting me ready for this opportunity.”
