North Johnston’s Maurice Love has decided to continue his baseball career at Brevard.

Love becomes the second Panther to sign with Brevard in recent weeks, joining Austin Lett, who signed for football last week.

Love is batting .382 so far this spring for the Panthers (9-4), and plans to study business in college.

“I like the atmosphere, the environment, and the baseball program,” he said in a press release. “(I’d like to thank) all the North Johnston baseball coaches, my parents, my brother and my teammates.”

Maurice, the son of Christen and Maurice Love, also lettered in cross country during his time in Kenly.
