North Johnston offensive lineman Austin Lett has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at Brevard.

Lett, a Neuse 6 all-conference selection for the Panthers as a senior, participated in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl and was also a letterman in wrestling and track and field during his time at North Johnston.

I would like to thank my family, friends and all my coaches,” he said in a press release. “Ever since my first visit to Brevard as a sophomore, I knew that Brevard would be the place I wanted to be after high school. They have everything for me to strive academically. Their football program is great, and the atmosphere is awesome.

“This wouldn’t be possible without God. He has stuck with me through the hardships and gave me faith and strength to do this. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

Lett, the son of Shawn and Renee Lett and Dana Harshfield, plans to study exercise science.
