Emma Sheetz, a three-time all-conference selection for North Johnston, has decided to continue her career at Johnston Community College.
“I would like to thank my family, especially my mom, for pushing me to do better and supporting me along the way,” she said in a release from the school. “I would also like to thank my coaches, Coach Poole and Coach Mack, for being such great mentors and pushing me to be a better player…. I would also like to thank my teammates for making this journey one to remember and not being just good teammates, but being sisters off the court that I can rely on at anytime.
“Lastly, I would like to thank Mrs. Burns for being such a great AT, to all the athletes and always being there when we needed her to be. I am blessed to have all these people in my life and without them I don’t think I would be where I am today.”
Emma, the daughter of Jamie and Robert Sheetz, plans to study kinesiology.
