A 6-0 loss at Clayton on Tuesday must have served as a wakeup call for the Cleveland baseball team. Since that loss, the Rams have beaten the Comets in a rematch and won its first two games in the Johnston County Easter Invitational.
So today, the Rams will try to win their fourth game in five days against Midway tonight in the tournament championship at South Johnston.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the county, Princeton plated five runs in the bottom of the seventh to clip Hobbton, 10-9, and win the Deacon Jones Invitational crown on its home field Monday.
Not a bad couple of days work for the Bulldogs.
