Tuesday was the match day for round two of the NCHSAA Women’s Volleyball playoffs, and a handful of Johnston County teams were in action:

Neuse Charter charged into the third round with a hard fought, 3-0 victory over North Moore.

Top-seeded Falls Lake is the opponent, after claiming a 3-0 win over Northside.

2A

Princeton kept marching through the 2A bracket with a 3-0 win (25-16, 25-18, 25-19) over South Granville. The next round is at Camden on Thursday.

3A

South Johnston fell to West Carteret, 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-21) to close out its campaign.

4A

Both Clayton and Cleveland fell in round two of the 4A bracket, with the Comets bowing out to Cardinal Gibbons, 3-0, and the Rams falling to Middle Creek by the same tally.
