The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released its softball playoff pairings Monday, and seven Johnston County schools made the grade.

First round games are scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, but times are still TBA:

2A

No. 25 Edenton Holmes at No. 8 North Johnston
No. 28 Princeton at No. 5 Farmville Central

3A

No. 28 East Wake at No. 5 South Johnston
No. 20 West Johnston at No. 13 Cedar Ridge

4A

No. 17 Fuquay-Varina at No. 16 Corinth Holders
No. 21 Clayton at No. 12 Holly Springs
No. 30 Lumberton at No. 3 Cleveland
