After a spirited session for appeals earlier this week, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association has released the final draft of its realignment into eight classifications for the 2025-2029 school years.
Now we know where our Johnston County Schools will fall, from the biggest (8A Corinth Holders) down to the smallest (1A Neuse Charter). Early impressions? Corinth Holders is in a rough neighborhood, North Johnston has some weird travel and I can’t believe Smithfield-Selma is a 7A (shout out to the IBB program).
I do like South and West’s league, and Princeton’s conference could also be plenty fun.
