No. 17 Franklinton 3, No. 16 West Johnston 0 — Dean Tober pitched a complete-game shutout as the Rams downed West Johnston, 3-0, in McGee’s Crossroads on Tuesday. The Wildcats finished the 2026 season at 11-14.

No. 15 South Johnston 8, No. 18 Northern Nash 4 — A six-run first inning was enough for the Trojans (11-10) to punch their ticket to the second round and a date with Carolina Pines 6A rival Southern Lee. The Cavaliers won both regular-season meetings, 12-5 and 5-1, on March 19 and 20.

No. 15 South Johnston at No. 2 Southern Lee

First round

No. 9 Clayton 11, No. 24 Lumberton 2 — Calvin Madenspacher and Davis Duty drove in three runs each to power a 16-hit attack as Clayton sunk Lumberton in the opening round of the 7A baseball playoffs. Jacskon Clinard notched the win for the Comets, who improved to 17-7 on the season.

No. 11 Cleveland 4, No. 22 Overhills 3 (9 innings) — Cleveland scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings before walking off its first rounder with Overhills, 4-3.

Cam Dean and Trent Holmes had two hits each for the Rams (17-8) while Noah Price and Landon Wendel each drove in runs.
