West Johnston played a game on Thursday night, but lined up again on Monday to finish off a power-outage delayed game with Fike.

It took overtime, but Patrick Schmidt kicked a 25-yard field goal to boost the Wildcats to a 10-7 win — and put them in a tie for first place in the Quad County.

Meanwhile, up U.S. 301, Lakewood knocked off North Johnston, 28-8. The Panthers will be back in action for Homecoming on Friday night as winless Spring Creek comes calling.
