With a combined mark of 37-6 this season, Corinth Holders, Cleveland and Clayton are rolling through their respective softball schedules right now.

As such, the three Johnston County schools hold down the first three spots in the latest HighSchoolOT.com 919 Softball Rankings.

In the statewide poll, the schools are seventh, eighth and 11th, in the same order.

Corinth Holders’ only loss (14-1) came to a different local school, West Johnston, which clipped the Pirates, 11-10, on March 11.

Cleveland (12-2) has lost only to the No. 1 team in the statewide poll, D.H. Conley, and Corinth Holders while Clayton (11-3) has lost only to Conley, Cleveland and Fuquay-Varina, which is sixth in the 919 rankings.
