Chris Serrano scored a goal in the 18th minute from just inside the box to the left of the D to power Clayton to a 1-0 over top-seeded Heritage on Tuesday night.

The move began on a Holden Hayward throw in to the feet of Serrano, who dribbled into the box and fired a wicked right-footed shot past the Huskies’ keeper.

The win sets up a clash at Chapel Hill on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, in the 3A tournament, Greene Central ended Princeton’s run with a 3-0 win. Here’s the breakdown:
