Now that spring break is in the rearview mirror, it’s time to get down to the business of crowing some champions in high school baseball conferences.

Greater Neuse River 4A

Halfway through the league schedule (well almost for Clayton and South Garner), Corinth Holders has a half-game edge on Clayton for the lead.

Quad County 3A

West Johnston is off to a perfect 7-0 start in league play, while the weather in Pikeville seems to have been particularly dodgy in recent weeks.

South Johnston at C.B. Aycock, 5 p.m.

Neuse 6

North Johnston and Princeton are holding down the top two spots in the Neuse 6, but we’ve still got a way to go before this race is run.

Princeton at Beddingfield, 6:30 p.m.

Carolina 1A

Rosewood and North Duplin are off to fast starts in the Carolina 1A, while Neuse Charter is alone in third. The Cougars visit North Duplin on Thursday.

American Leadership Academy

The Patriots will join the NCHSAA in the fall, but for now, they won’t play again until April 16 when they host Wake Prep.
