Johnston County has four teams alive in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Baseball playoffs after Friday’s second round.

Second round 

No. 6 American Leadership Academy 5, No. 11 East Bladen 2 — Tyler Hill drove in a pair of runs while Payton McMahon, Jayden Bicki and Josh Mullan added RBI as ALA moved to 16-9 on the season.

Third round (Tuesday, May 12)

No. 6 American Leadership Academy (16-9) at No. 3 Hobbton (17-4)

Second round

No. 10 Eastern Randolph at No. 7 Princeton — Branson Flynn drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Bulldogs edged Eastern Randolph, 1-0.

Third round (Tuesday, May 12)

No. 7 Princeton (16-9) at No. 2 McMichael (22-5)

Second round 

No. 9 Clinton 4, No. 8 North Johnston 3 — Clinton scored single runs in the fifth and seventh innings to rally past North Johnston, 4-3. Jacob Talton drove in two runs for the Panthers (16-8).

Second round 

No. 2 Southern Lee 10, No. 15 South Johnston 0 — South Johnston fell to Southern Lee for the third time this season to ends its campaign at 11-11.

7A

Second round

No. 8 Topsail 5, No. 9 Clayton 4 — Clayton’s season ended at 17-8 overall after a narrow loss at Topsail on Friday.

No. 11 Cleveland 9, No. 6 New Hanover 6, 8 innings — Cleveland scored twice in the seventh to force extra innings, then added three more in the eighth to claim the victory. Noah Price drove in three and Landon Wendel added a pair of RBI for the Rams.

Third round (Tuesday, May 12)

No. 11 Cleveland (18-8) at No. 3 Cardinal Gibbons (18-5)

Second round (Friday)

No. 1 Corinth Holders 4, No. 9 Millbrook 1 — Eli Cash and Carter Wall combined to hold Millbrook to a single run in a second-round playoff win.

Third round (Tuesday, May 12)

No. 4 Broughton (19-6) at No. 1 Corinth Holders (19-5) — Corinth Holders won two earlier meetings this season.
