JoCo Basketball Report: A quick look at the men's basketball scene

Clayton is still alive and kicking in the football playoffs, but other sports — like basketball — are in full swing.

Let’s take a look at how the local men’s basketball teams are faring (we’ll have the women a little later):

Diamond Nine

Neuse Charter is in the Diamond Nine, and a 4-2 start to the campaign sets the Cougars up nicely as we head into December.

American Leadership Academy hasn’t played a bunch a games yet, but the Patriots are 2-1 on the very young season.

The Bulldogs are 1-2 so far this season, but as previously stated, it’s early.

North Johnston has split the first four games of the season thus far.

South Johnston and West Johnston are both .500 on the season as the Carolina Pines 6A gets going.

Cleveland, Clayton and Smithfield-Selma are underway, and the Rams are 3-0.

Corinth Holders has dropped both of its games to start the season.
