WENDELL — Briggs McKenzie fanned 11 in a complete-game win as Corinth Holders downed Laney, 7-1, Thursday night in Game 2 of the NCHSAA 4A Baseball Eastern Regionals.

Scotland 8, South Johnston 1 — The Trojans fell to the Scots in Game 2 of the 3A Softball Eastern Regionals, finishing their season at 23-3 overall.

Conley 6, Cleveland 2 — Cleveland’s run in the 4A playoffs ended with a Game 2 setback against the Vikings. The Rams complete their campaign at 20-6.
