Eight different Clayton players drove in at least one run as the Comets powered past South Johnston, 14-1, in a five-inning Johnston County Easter Invitational title game.

That was more than enough run support for Gabe Schellinger, who pitched all five innings, striking out seven, while notching the win for the Comets (11-5).

South Johnston fell to 8-7 overall.
